    As of February 19, 2010 International Medical Corps is operating 15 mobile clinic sites covering 18 sites. Outside Port-au-Prince, International Medical Corps operations now include Petit-Goave, Grande Goave, Petionville, Boloise, Carrefour, Jacmal, Gressier, and Miragoane. Services, including emergency and primary health care, maternal and child health, immunization and communicable disease surveillance, and health education, are provided through a combination of both static and mobile medical clinics.

    February 10, 2010—Caterpillar Inc. is providing heavy equipment and trained operators to its Haitian dealer HayTrac in the aftermath of a devastating earthquake.

    “Given our past experience with natural disasters in other parts of the world, we know our dealers on the ground in the region are typically among the first to respond,” said Caterpillar spokeswoman Bridget Young. “Caterpillar offers assistance based on the assessment of their dealers on the ground.”

    Handicap International's health team in Haiti, which has been treating massive numbers of injuries, estimates there are now more than 2,000 amputees because of injuries sustained in the earthquake, up from Monday's estimate of 1,000.     The American Refugee Committee’s emergency response team is on the ground in Haiti, bringing relief to some of the millions who were devastated by last week’s earthquake. We’ve flown in experts from all over the world in health, sanitation, water, protection, security, and logistics.
